I am a Career HR Executive, Consultant, Training Facilitator, and Executive Coach specializing in modern HR practices, recruiting, talent management, and workplace culture. Whether working on an Executive Leadership Team, as a VP of People or an external HR Consultant, I build teams and create modern people strategies that produce results. To that point, in my VP of People roles, my teams helped build organizations recognized by the Great Places to Work Institute, Achievers, SHRM and Fortune Magazine.

Utilizing 20 years of corporate executive People Team, master facilitation, and national speaking experience, I share my talent expertise to help organizations elevate their People strategies, processes, and team capabilities. As both a specialist in employee engagement and leader of teams, I know attracting and retaining modern employees is challenging, at best. Through training programs and executive coaching, I help leaders of all levels evolve from "enforcers" to engagers.

To give back, as a national speaker and writer, I've had the honor to teach thousands of practitioners modern HR and leadership topics at national conferences, technology company users conferences, webinars, podcasts, and corporate events, A few include LinkedIn's National Talent Conference, the SHRM National Conference, WorkHuman, SHRM Talent Conference, and the National HR Technology Conference amongst many others.

Throughout my HR leadership career I have led recruiting, training and development, benefits, and employee relations functions.  In addition, as a member of an executive leadership team, I participated in making company-wide operations decisions, merger and acquisitions strategies and, naturally, corporate People Strategies.  


Throughout my career, companies I led gained local and national recognition as employers-of-choice including, The Great Place To Work Institute"50 Best Small and Medium Sized Companies" in the US, Achiever's "50 Most Engaged Workplaces in the US", The Birmingham Business Journal's "Best Places to Work, as well as "Best Company for Working Families, and "50 Companies We Admire". 


In addition to my HR, Consulting, Coaching and Leadership experience, I am a national speaker, podcaster, blog contributor and have been featured on several leadership and HR management video series. I've been recognized as a Top HR Innovator and Top HR Executive, and have served on  serving on the board of the local SHRM chapter.

I obtained my Master’s in HR Management from the University of Alabama and am SHRM-CP and HRCI-PHR certificated. 


I am addicted to TV, love to cry at movies, think wine and a wheel of Brie make a well-balanced dinner, and sing in my car daily. My husband and cat are the Yin to my Yang.
